Then the next step could be whether or not they add an item to cart.

Re: Revenue, ARPU, Funnels, and RPM: My talk from Startonomics on Revenue metrics

Really good presentation - thanks for sharing. One bit I couldn't get though was exactly how you measure the % of people are just browsing - any thoughts?

Re: Revenue, ARPU, Funnels, and RPM: My talk from Startonomics on Revenue metrics

Thanks, Andrew. This overview is great. Simple, concise, clear. Very well done.

Re: Revenue, ARPU, Funnels, and RPM: My talk from Startonomics on Revenue metrics

terrific presentation andrew... and excellent stuff today!

thanks for making our first Startonomics conference a smashing success :)

Re: Revenue, ARPU, Funnels, and RPM: My talk from Startonomics on Revenue metrics

yeah, ad networks, rep firms, and vertical ad networks are all methods of reaching into those brand dollars - but you'll never see the CPM $ figures that are as high as doing it yourself. So it's good to make that transition smoother, but you still need to build your own sales team once you get to the appropriate size.

Re: Revenue, ARPU, Funnels, and RPM: My talk from Startonomics on Revenue metrics

Yeah, thanks for posting. Love the first slide trading floor picture.

You talked about direct sales being an upper tier option for publishers, i.e. when they get large enough to warrant it. There are a few startups working on making the direct sales process more accessible to pubs in the middle tier range.

Re: Revenue, ARPU, Funnels, and RPM: My talk from Startonomics on Revenue metrics

great talk...thanks for posting
